Just Married

No tin cans trailed us down the road as we left Dallas for our honeymoon trip through Central, South and West Texas. We stayed at a very rustic Bed n Breakfast in the hills outside of Kerrville. It was a little difficult to find, but with the help of my trusty GPS app, we found the place. I thought we might have to turn around and head back as the outside ambiance was early Lonesome Dove. However once we got past the pig, the donkeys and goats, we were surprised by nice inside accommodations.

Breakfast was also a highlight of the stay. Took a side trip to Fredericksburg.

Our next destination was Corpus Christi where we stayed at the Navy Lodge on CC Naval Air Station. It was a nice, clean, modern motel right on CC Bay.  We stayed a few days visiting family members and the large milk bottle out close to the Lexington. Long story.

Then we took off to the northwest to get to Lubbock, stopping briefly in San Antonio at the market to eat with brother in law and spouse, who treated us to lunch and female mariachis to sing for us. Quite nice.

In Lubbock we freshened up the house and had some time with Sarah and Jennie and some long time friends before heading back to Dallas. We'll be here for a few weeks and then take Sarah to Colorado for her orientation to ELIC and her trip to China to start teaching English there.
